Last Christmas, I had a shot at the "milk-carton" container : it's the perfect shape to have the biggest inside volume for the smallest paper surface.
Just google "milk carton pattern", and adapt to your paper (mine was an A4 paper, printed with various backgrounds from Canon Creative Park - all of them are gorgeous!)
I stuffed them with chocolates and various delicious treats :-)
Then of course, my daughter wanted her own girly version, so she drew and cut the heart shapes, Kitty, panda, ... and used foam mounting tape to afix them to the container. Scoubidou, ribbons or mini clothespins are used for closure.
